BELFAST 2015 SELECTION

Scottish Universities and Colleges have named their team for an International match in May.

The squad are heading to Belfast to take on an Irish Universities Select team at the St Mary Peters Stadium in the Northern Irish capital on May 31.

It should be a good event and the Scottish lineup has been selected following the SUCA Outdoor Champs at Grangemouth last weekend. Only event winners were guaranteed a place in the travelling party.

There are some well-known names among those picked, including Commonwealth Games hammer thrower Rachel Hunter. Others selected include the likes of Rachel Robertson, Emma Canning, Jemma Reekie, Andrew Murphy, Andrew Lawler, Ewan Dyer and Sam O’Kane.

The group headed for Belfast will be led by team manager David Low and his assistant, Janelle McGurk. Team captains have yet to be appointed with Stacey Downey and Sam O’Kane having done a sterling job in the past.
