Calling all hill runners in the North District!
The North District Hill Running Champs take place this Saturday – 8 November – at Knockfarrel, Strathpeffer, with races open to U20s, Seniors and Masters (M40).
Entries will be taken on the day and it is just £5 for scottishathletics members with the championships open to those who are first claim or second claim athletes with North District clubs.
Races are over 8k with a 365m climb and the start area is 800m or so from the parking at .

scottishathletics are offering a three-hour workshop for coaches and volunteers interested in increasing their knowledge of working with athletes with a disability.
The workshop will give participants a better understanding of ‘Inclusion’ by using the ‘Inclusion Model and Steps’.
General information on the different disability groups will be delivered as well as coaching points and simplifying classification. The practical sessions will cover the basics in Guided Running, Race Running, Seated Throws and Wheelchair Racing. On completion, each coach will receive an Inclusive Athletics booklet.
Who is it for? For coaches and coaches helpers working in athletics clubs or Run, Jump and Throw centres who have athletes with a disability or may have in the future. Ideal for coaches who have started their coaching journey and wish to know more about adaptation of events and Inclusion of athletes with a disability.
