The Scottish University and College Athletics (SUCA) ‘Freshers Match’ takes place at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow on Wednesday (21 October).
The competition is open to ALL university and college students during any year of study (including those who have graduated in the past 12 months). This match regularly features both experienced athletes and those who are new to the sport.
Entry fee is £8.50 per event, although a number of university athletics clubs have arrangements where they will pay this fee for their members.
The first event starts at 12 noon and declarations close one hour before each event. All of the usual indoor track and field events are included at this match, and senior specifications are used in all events.
Guest athletes are also welcome provided they apply in advance to the SUCA secretary at SUA2011@hotmail.co.uk and the guest entry fee is £10 per event.
