There are scottishathletics Coaching Roadshows currently taking place to give coaches a better understanding of the National Coach Development Programme.
And we also have Technical Development days coming up across the various event groups which are geared to building knowledge and experience.
Grangemouth is the venue for all of these sessions on the weekend of November 21/22 and we are taking sign-ups to these at the moment.
The workshops are specifically designed for anyone who has completed the Coaching Assistant Award (or previous Level 1 course) or for those working towards or have completed the Athletics Coach Award (or previous Level 2 courses), who are looking for an introduction to coaching the events.
The dates, venues and for each of the Technical Development I workshops are as follows:
Saturday 21 November: Grangemouth
Sprints and Hurdles; Throws
Sunday 22 November: Grangemouth
Jumps; Endurance
The technical workshops costs £20 per day for scottishathletics Coach Members.
To sign-up for these development opportunities please complete the National Coach Development Course Booking Form and return to performanceteam@scottishathletics.org.uk.

There was a great turnout at the first Glasgow group training session on October 31 – and the next opportunity looms this weekend.
This Saturday sees a return to Bellahouston Park following the Short Course Champs for the second session, with clubs, coaches and athletes from west and central Scotland warmly invited to join in.
The first rep is at 10.30am and the lead coach this time will be Olympian Lynne Macdougall – for 3-minute reps with 90 seconds recovery.
Details of all the dates for the winter, working towards the National XC at Falkirk in February, are on the Glasgow Athletics Association website
