Initial Selection announcement
Scotland will contest the Celtic Games track and field international at U18 and U16 level this weekend against visiting teams from Wales and Ireland.
Grangemouth is the venue on Saturday for the match and, as hosts, there is an opportunity for scottishathletics to give more young athletes an opportunity to compete at international level.
We’ve taken that chance by selecting a Futures Team in both age groups to compete alongside the U18 and U16 selections and thus create stronger competition.
The first event on Saturday is at 11.45 am and the timetable is on the Events page on this website.
Scotland selections were announced last Friday and we’re now happy to highlight those picked to compete for the Futures Teams. Many congratulations to all those picked and to their families, coaches and the clubs who have helped in the development of these promising, hard-working young athletes.
