Scotland will send a team of five athletes to the Combined Events International match this weekend in Hexham.
Athletes compete over Saturday and Sunday and the north of England venue in both decathlon and heptathlon at Senior, U20 and U17 level.
And there is a Home International element to that, with Scotland taking on England, Northern Ireland and Wales across the various disciplines.
The Scotland selections have been confirmed with Whitemoss AAC’s GB U20 international, Emma Canning, included as well as Andrew Murphy (Kilbarchan), who has also represented GB.
It is a first selection for three of the five athletes – with Tom Chandler (Central AC), Scott Connal (Whitemoss AAC) and Alix Still (Aberdeen AAC) to make their Scotland debuts.
Emma and Tom are both members of the National Academy, with athletes therein having made a real impact in recent weeks in various selections.
All at scottishathletics would like to congratulate the athletes, coaches and their families on their selection for the Combined Events International and wish them the best of luck for the weekend.
