Scottish Masters at the British Masters XC in Nottingham
There are not one but two significant National events for Masters athletes looming large at the end of January 2015.
The Masters XC event will take place at Kilmarnock on Saturday 31 January and entries are now being taken for that event by post.
And, on the same day, the Masters Track and Field Champs are being held at the Emirates Arena – with entries now being taken online.
We apologise once again for the regerettable date clash with these events. This was caused in no small part by an Emirates booking being taken for the Davis Cup tennis and a subsequent re-arranging of dates.
For clarity: it is V35 for the Track and Field event and V40 for the Masters XC.
Athletics clubs across Scotland voted by a significant majority for V40 to be the starting age-group in Masters terms for cross country following a poll by the Road Running and Cross Country commission.
So, for the Masters XC event, please note that Saturday 17 January is the closing date with entries by post to Margaret Daly in Glasgow by that date.
For the Masters Track and Field please check the specific page on our Events section and follow the online entry process. Closing date is Wednesday 14 January.
