Coaching Conference presentations online

Tuesday 3rd November 2015

On Twitter #SALCoach

scottishathletics welcomed a world-class coaching line-up to the National Coaching Conference on September 26/27 at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow.

The weekend was a core part of the annual coach development programme and will be incorporated with event-specific programmes – with technical development days coming up in November at Grangemouth.

We’ve now added a number of the presentations made by key leads at the Conference to this website as a further resource for coaches keen to learn more or reinforce what they gleaned at the Emirates in September.

Those presentations are available on the dedicated page for the National Coaching Conference

We also have Roadshows coming up to help give a better understanding of the Coach Development Programme and those meetings take place across five venues and dates over the next few weeks. The Roadshows are free for scottishathletics coaches.

On November 21/22, Grangemouth hosts Technical Development I days across various event groups.

These workshops are specifically designed for anyone who has completed the Coaching Assistant Award (or previous level 1 course) or for those working towards or have completed the Athletics Coach Award (or previous level 2 courses), who are looking for an introduction to coaching the events.

The dates, venues and booking codes for each of the technical development workshops are as follows:

21 November: Grangemouth

Sprints and Hurdles; Throws

22 November: Grangemouth

Jumps; Endurance

The technical workshops costs £20 per day for scottishathletics Coach Members  To sign-up for these development opportunities please complete the National Coach Development Course Booking Form and return to performanceteam@scottishathletics.org.uk.
