All set for Age Group Champs

All roads led to Grangemouth last weekend for the Scottish Seniors and U17 Champs and a fine two days of athletics.

And we’re back at the Central Scotland venue again on Saturday and Sunday this weekend for the Age Group Champs.

Now it is the turn of our U20, U15 and U13 athletes to take centre stage at the venue where the Glasgow 2014 track from the Commonwealth Games has significantly improved the facility.

Once again, start-lists and timetable information is stored online and those pages become Live Results once the event begins on Saturday morning.

We’ve mentioned entry numbers a fair bit in recent weeks and again for the Age Group Champs there has been a terrific response from the athletics community in Scotland. There are very close to 1000 athletes on the lists for this weekend.

Thank You to all the athletes, coaches, parents and clubs involved in giving this level of support to National Champs – which we do believe should be the focal point of the track and field season in Scotland.

We must also thank in advance our scottishathletics Offcials who have been working hard all summer at various events and many of whom were on duty last Saturday and/or Sunday for the Seniors and U17s. Your commitment as volunteers is much appreciated by those who compete.
