Sammi Kinghorn ended her European exploits with some great form at the Swiss Champs in Arbon.
The Scottish Commonwealth Games athlete set a Scottish national record at T53 100m with 17.65 before then bringing down her own 200m record for the third time in a week!
This time Sammi crossed the line in 30.69 to finish in second place to Angie Ballard, who broke the world record earlier in the week. Sammi then finished the meet with a tactical win over 800m breaking the field up then drafting behind her Japanese rival before pouncing to win by half a chair length in the last 50 m in a season’s best of 1.56.52.

Andy Douglas
Scotland and GB International Andy Douglas made a superb start to the WMRA Grand Prix – as he won the opening race of the series in Zelezniki, Slovenia.
The Inverclyde AC/North Highland Harriers athlete completed the 11.1k course, with 1170m climb, in 1 hour 1 minute 40 seconds. It gave him the victory by 60 seconds.
‘I am really pleased with the performances,’ he told the Press and Journal. ‘I paced it exactly how I had hoped to and ended up with a considerable gap at the finish. It was a tough course and hot conditions but I coped with that.’
