Key 2016 dates: Coaching Conference, Annual Awards

National Coaching Conference 2016

24/25 September 2016, Emirates Arena, Glasgow

In September 2015, scottishathletics welcomed a world-class coaching line-up to the National Coaching Conference and we are delighted to confirm the dates for this year’s conference.

The weekend will form a core part of the National Coach Development Programme and will involve a series of practical sessions, seminars, and workshops led by international and expert coaches.

Topics for 2016 will include event group and event specific sessions; athlete development and physical preparation (by stage of development) sessions; with these happening alongside workshops specifically for talent development/performance coaches, children’s coaches and women’s coaches.

Keynote speakers and guest coaches will be announced over the weeks ahead via the Coaching Zone newsletter, website and social media.

scottishathletics and jogscotland Annual Awards Dinner

29 October 2016, Hilton Hotel, Glasgow

Steve Cram was our esteemed ‘Guest of Honour’ at the Hilton hotel in Glasgow in late October 2015 as scottishathletics and jogscotland celebrated many facets of our sport.

And we plan to return to the Glasgow venue again later this year with the important date for your diaries now confirmed as: Saturday 29 October.

It is the night the athletics community in Scotland gathers to recognise top athletes, coaches, clubs, volunteers and officials so we’d be delighted if you would save the date.
