Robert Rogerson’s new book captures the story behind the Commonwealth Games
It was the ‘best Games ever’ and now the magic of Glasgow 2014 has been captured in a great new book.
The author of ‘Glasgow’s Commonwealth Games: behind the scenes’ is Robert Rogerson, a well-known figure at Scottish championship events with Kirkintilloch Olympians.
And, thanks to publishers Freight Books, we’ve five copies of the book to give away in a pre-Christmas competition!
Rogerson’s books is an investigation into the planning, delivery and impact of last year’s Commonwealth Games. With over 140 photographs the book is packed with insight into the successes and challenges of putting on an event for 4000 athletes, involving 14000 volunteers and hundreds of thousands of visitors. The book was commissioned by Glasgow Life so is an insightful, considered examination.
