Happy New Year!
There’s no better time than early January to set goals for the year ahead and we can now confirm the Road Running Grand Prix dates and venues for 2016.
scottishathletics have already confirmed that the marathon champs will move from Loch Ness this year to the London Marathon in April.
And, adding to those, we can confirm that the Tom Scott 10-Mile Champs will kick-off the five races which are part of the Grand Prix series for 2016.
The other three races all follow the pattern of recent years with the 5K Champs at Silverknowes in Edinburgh in association with Run and Become; the Scottish 10K Champs at Stirling in September; and the half marathon champs at the Great Scottish Run in early October.
In one change, the 5K Champs will now trial a Friday evening slot – with the date for your diaries and training plans being Friday 6 May.
Here is the full event list (with details on the 2016 Road Race Grand Pix points and prize-money system to follow in due course)
